Some chronic tracks....

Got a lot of really hot tracks this week. Check out the Flo-Rida and Hot Rod song, as well as the Theripy track. These two songs are two of the hottest songs I've heard in a while. Will have Plies' new album up tomorrow with all the other albums. Enjoy, and peace....

-G

To download the all of the tracks in one RAR file use this link:

  • N2Deep- Back To The Hotel** (Two guys out of Vallejo, CA. This song was released close to 13 years ago, yet it still bangs. It is so good that Jay-Z sampled the trumpets from this song in “Show Me What You Got”)

  • Theripy- French Tip*** (Tightest beat I’ve heard in a long time. Love these guys. Found them on myspace. They are from GA, and are amazing. Gotta download this track)

  • LeMarvin- Couldn’t Help* (Saw this guy at the Fillmore back in January, and man did he blow, and man did he have some broke ass backup dancers. It seems he got on the right track since then, and has created a banging track with this one)

  • Estella Garcia- Snap (Produced by Mysto & Phizi, the guys who did R. Kelly’s “Get Dirty.” This guys are the hottest new producers right now)

  • Trick Trick- Hip Roll (Eminem’s newest protégé from Detroit is back with this hot song about some crazy dance move girls do)

  • Mason Dixie- National Anthem* (Either this is gonna blow up and turn into a song as big as “Chain Hang Low,” or its not gonna blow up at all, and I’m gonna feel like a tool. Download this hot track)

  • Moe Betta- See Me in the Club* (He has worked with so many artists, writing and producing, now he gets behind the mic, and is amazing. Coould be the next Kanye, producer to superstar MC)

  • Young Blaze- Nawl Joe** (Have already been in contact with this guy. Hes from Chitown, and this bangin track sounds like a Timbaland beat. Seriously download this song)

  • Hot Rod Featuring Flo-rida- Tennessee Tags****** (Going to be an all-time favorite. Seriously, get this track. Has a little bit of an 80’s feel mixed with some serious down south hip hop, and then you take Hot Rod, whos from California. He is on the second verse, Flo-rida is on the first. You need this. Life changing)

  • Peach Candy- U Ugly (The dynamic duo of R&B and rapper are back with this song about girls who only go for the ugly guys because they have some bank. A fictional song or reality?)

Picture of The Week- Lil’ Wayne and “his father,” Birdman show off so many tatooes and chains. Gotta love this picture.

Video of the Week- Cam’ron Touch it or Not Remix (Really funny parody of the song. Check it out)

Lots of New LPs

Got the Too Short & Friends as requested, as well as Chamillionaire's new mixtape, "The Mixtape Messiah Part 3." Also, Common's new album, "Finding Forever," it is a masterpiece. Also, Sean Price's newest underground mixtape, "Master P," its a banger. Finally, got that new Sean Kingston album, recommend that for everyone. Also, got the Lil' Wayne Carter 3 official album leak, Travis you need to cop it! Oh yeah, I can't find the post before last's one RAR file. In the future, I will make sure to keep them. Also, the Pack song, "Spaceships," link is now fixed. I heard the new Kanye and T-Pain song, and its hot. Give me a few more days to find it. It will be up very soon. Peace...

-G

Numskull of Daa Luniz- Numworld (Gotta love how much of a veteran this guy is. Bay area heat)

Sean Price- Master P* (A definite must for all Hip-Hop lovers. This guy is from NY, and he is the truth)

Sean Kingston- Sean Kingston** (Jonathan Rotem found him on myspace last year, and produced every track on the LP. Get this album. This kid is going far)

Too $hort & Friends- I Love the Bay* (A homage to the Bay Area with Too $hort leading the way)

Lil' Wayne- The Best Rapper Alive Volume 3* (Lets hope that he can figure out his legal woes, because this mixtape is amazing)

Rhymefest- Blue Collar** (Got to see him in concert with Tribe Called Quest last year, and he was amazing. If you love Kanye, or Common, then you will love this guy. He's got a new album coming out soon, which Lil' Jon & Kanye mainly produced)

Lil' Wayne- The Carter 3 Album Leak* (Weezy decided to go ahead and leak some of the songs off the Carter 3 because he knew he wasn't going to release the official version until sometime in 2008)

Chamillionaire- The Mixtape Messiah 3* (He has sold more albums than any other rapper in the last year and a half, and is poised to do so when "Ultimate Victory" is released in September. Check this mixtape out)

Common- Finding Forever** (Classic Common in his classic state. Download this)

Video of The Week- Kanye West - Can't Tell Me Nothin' (Zach Galifianakis Version) (This comedian made a hicked out music video for the popular Kanye song. Check it out. Pretty funny)

Ya Boy- Still in The Hood (Reppin the bay area to the fullest. Divis and Grove)

********Extra Bonus********

Chamillionaire - Evening News (His second single off "Ultimate Victory," wow, amazing)

Chamillionaire - Hip Hop Police (Feat. Slick Rick) (Already going to be a classic video in the future. Best video I've seen a long long time. Epic)

Lots of Female tracks in this post...

This week’s post has a lot of female singers. Check out “Sweetest Girl,” Glamour Bitch,” “Will Miss You Boy,” “Happy Juice,” & “Don’t You Baby.” I will fix the dead links ASAP. Also, the Too Short mixtape, “Bay Love” has been sitting in my CD player for about 3 weeks now, had no idea people actually wanted it. It will be up in the next album post, as well as Sean Kingston’s debut album. To download the whole post in one RAR file, just clink the link below this:

G’s Beatz Volume 2

Peace….

-G

  • Chosen- I Luv That (Produced by an up and coming producer known as CT. Hot song, sick beat. Get this)

  • Samantha- Boyfriend* (Production behind this one is Darkchild, who was responsible for a fair amount of Timbaland songs back in the 90’s before Timbo starting making his own beats. Samantha is an R&B singer out of Australia, and she is gorgeous)

  • Saigon- Don’t You Baby* (Produced by Swizz Beatz. His newest single off his upcoming album. You gotta love this guy’s flow, his grind, and how far he has come. Appearing on “Entourage” definitely helped him out a little, although, he already had two studio albums under his belt)

  • Brandy- Sweet Nothings (She has bounced back pretty well since the manslaughter charges in a her driving incident over a year ago. Her voice sounds different, almost like Mariah Carey. I’ll let you decide if that’s a good thing or not)

  • Milano Featuring Keri Hilson- Glamour Bitch*** (Definitely has a “My Humps” vibe to it. This song is crazy legit. Milano and Keri Hilson have numerous connections to Timbaland. The man who produced this track, Danja, was Timbaland’s right hand man on much of Timbaland’s album, “Shock Value,” as well as Justin Timberlake’s “Future Sex/Love Sounds. Check this song out)

  • Plies- Right and Wrong Way (This song may be nasty, it may not be Plies’ original beat (Pretty Ricky first sampled it), but as Plies says, “Go ‘head and let it go, I see your toes curl.”)

  • Spliff Star- Nasty* (Scott Stortch did the beat. Spliff Star is Busta Rhymes’ right hand man. He has tried some solo ventures in the past, but finally he may have stacked his chips right, and he for sure has a hit here)

  • Elephant Man- Spin Ya Rag (Produced by Lil’ Jon. Club banger, although its nearly impossible to hear Elephant Man, its still a sick song)

  • Rick Ross Featuring Pharrell- Push That** (Very similar song concept and title to “Push It,” but Pharrell does a nice job on this one. This is only a snippet, will upload the full length version when it becomes available)

  • Peach Candy- Bam (Two artists out of Atlanta, a rapper & R&B singer team up to make up Peach Candy. This song is about “Why shes hot, and why shes cold.” If you ask me these two girls are luke warm)

  • Peach Candy- Man Up* (Definitely more a female orientated song. Talking about poppin tags, and how they need to keep switchin their man up, and getting their money in lump sums. Poppin tags= buying new clothing, a lot of it, expensive, and leaving the tags on them)

Video of The Week- Ja Rule Featuring Lil’Wayne- Uh Oh (Not only is there one video, the original music video, but another video that should be titled “Uh Oh.”

Rappers Lil' Wayne and Ja Rule are free men after separate arrests put them and members of their entourage behind bars Sunday night (July 22).

As SOHH previously reported, Ja Rule (whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins) and Lil' Wayne

(whose real name is Dwayne Carter) were both arrested on separate criminal weapons possession charges over the weekend after performing at New York's Beacon Theater. Both men were discovered in Manhattan's 20th Precinct in possession of .40-caliber handguns.

According to the New York Post, police say they stopped Rule's 2004 Mercedes Maybach

around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of West End Avenue and 78th street for having a suspended registration. The officers searched the vehicle after smelling marijuana and discovered a .40-caliber semiautomatic Taurus in a backseat compartment of the car. Police arrested Rule, as well as his 38-year-old driver Mohamed Gamal and another passenger 36-year-old Dennis Cherry.

Rule had to put up a $150,000 bond for his release. Sources for the NY Post said the rapper used his Saddle Brook, NJ mansion as collateral for the $320,000 combined bail money for him and his two associates.

Released yesterday (July 23), after spending 20 hours in custody, Rule told reporters, "Everybody wants to point finger at hip-hop for the destruction of America's youth. If you need to know why there is so much crime, corruption, hatred and violence, you need only look at yourselves," before plugging his upcoming album, "The Mirror, in stores Sept. 25."

Approximately an hour after hauling in Ja Rule, police approached Lil' Wayne's tour bus, which was parked at 61st Street near Columbus Avenue, and claim they boarded that vehicle after smelling marijuana.

According to NY's Daily News, police boarded the bus and discovered Derrick Lawrence of Brooklyn trying to flush half a pound of marijuana in the bus toilet. Lil' Wayne was changing as the officers entered the vehicle, and according to lead prosecutor Joan Illuzzi-Orbon, police discovered a .40-caliber Springfield Armory semiautomatic in a Louis Vuitton bag the rapper removed from his lap.

Weezy was released yesterday on a $70,000 bond.

Defense lawyer Stacey Richman, who represented both rappers, has called their arrests and enormous bails a "tax on celebrity." Richman also stated that Ja Rule's Mercedes is a company car and that the gun could have belonged to any number of users.

"We absolutely maintain that we are not guilty of these charges," Richman said, of both clients.

If convicted, both rappers may face up to three and a half years in prison due to NY's strict new gun laws. Rule and Weezy are due back in court on Friday (July 27)

Reps for Universal Records- with whom both artists are signed - did not respond to SOHH's emails at publishing time.

Picture of the Week- Lindsay Lohan (Had to be her. Third time to rehab in the last year. Second DUI this year. Just turned 21 on July 2. She was pulled over Monday night for allegedly chasing a car through a parking lot at high speeds. Her blood alcohol level was .14, the legal limit in California is .08. In addition to this the police didn’t find cocaine on her until she entered the jail facility. Now she is being charged with one count of reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), & bring a controlled substance into a federal facility.

Best of Ja Rule & More....

Included in this post is the best of Ja Rule, who is making a comeback. Also, Colllie Buddz, a hot new reggae artist, and Kaz Kyzah's "The Go-Fessional." Peace...

-G

Ja Rule- Best of Ja Rule (Part 1)* (Hes going to be remembered as a legend beleive it or not. His flow is so unique, and his lyrics actually have a deeper meaning.)

Ja Rule- Best of Ja Rule (Part 2)* (Holla Holla.)

Ja Rule- Best of Ja Rule (Part 3)* ("Uh oh Uh oh" Those are the lyrics of his new single, "Uh Oh," Featuring Lil' Wayne. If you haven't downloaded it yet, get it. Its such a banger. )

Kaz Kyzah- The Go-Fessional (New mixtape from the member of the team, that has the best flow. Clyde Carson disguises his crappy, bad flow, and horrible lyrics with catchy beats, nice hooks, and big artists featured with him. Kaz Kyzah does it all on his own. Let me know what you think of this guy.)

Collie Buddz- Collie Buddz* (Born in New Orleans, raised on Bermuda, and spends a great deal of time in Toronto. This guy is all over. A great LP for any Reggae lover or smoker)

Pastor Troy- Tool Muziq* (He was born and raised in Atlanta, his father was a pastor. Real rapper who definitely indulges in what god may view as "sins." He is legit)

N.O.R.E.- Cocaine on Steroids (A mixtape from the artist that kind of went into the darkness after releasing the hit single, "Nothin.'" Check this hot new album out)

Picture of The Week- Remy Ma arrested for attempted murder (The story is her and one of her good friends hit up a pizza parlor late last Saturday night around 4:00 A.M. After that Remy Ma was like, "Yo, bitch, you owe me $3,000!" Her friend didn't have the money or had no idea what she was talking about. Remy, then pulled out a gun shot her friend in the chest, continued to search her friend's purse, then sped off in her black Escalade leaving her friend for dead. The friend received medical attention, and Remy Ma and her dented up Escalade was found 4 blocks away, crashed into a box of crates. She pleaded not guilty, and posted bail which was $250,000. Her later arraignment will come within the next month. For every one who doesn't know who she is, or should I say who she was, because shes pretty washed up, she was with Terror Squad back when they released the club anthem, "Lean Back." When things couldn't get gloomier for this girl's career, they do.)

From left to top then bottom: Remy with her friend, Remy's Escalade after hitting some crates, and the pizza parlor they ate at.

Remy Ma being brought into jail with two of NY's finest.

Video of The Week- 50 Cent- I Get Money (He just made around 100 million off of the share of vitamin water he owned. Coca-Cola bought it for 4.1 billion dollars. He for sure has money)

-G

  • Hayes- Act A Fool* (Hot MC out of NY. Hes song was featured on an "Entourage" episode a few weeks back, and he is signed to Dr. Dre's label, Aftermath. Sounds like 50 Cent)

  • Chingy- Bounce That (Might be a year or two old, but this song bumps, matter of fact, it bounces!)

  • Mario- Why ("Why? Why? Why? Mario wants to know why? I can't take it no more. Why are you still here?" This song is so hot)

  • Lil' Wayne Featuring Currency- My House* (Originally from "Tha Carter 2.5." Weezy added Currency's verse, the second one. Sounds a little bit like Mase, G-Dep, and Loom mixed together. Lovin this track right now)

  • Snoop Dogg Featuring Big Bamm- Clap*** (Akon produced the song. Snoop does is thing on this track, as well as Big Bamm. No idea who Big Bamm is but he sounds big, and hes gotta flow sounding like Shyne, and Butch Cassidy)

  • Jay Capz- Sip On My Cup** (Produced by the Neptunes. Lovin this R & B/ Hip Hop mix. Hot song. Definitely a club banger)

  • Juelz Santana- Freaky (Off his only solo album "What The Game's Been Missing." Like this song, and his flow is actually pretty legit for a Dipset member)

  • The Cool Kids- A Little Bit Cooler**** (This guys are from Chicago. Sounds like some Pharrell beat. This guys dress like 80's rappers, massive gold chains, brass nuckles, adidas. These guys are gonna blow up. Already contacted them, and they are gonna be out here in August for a gig. Hit me up if you want the details)

Timbaland has been using other people's beats for ages, but now he resorts to the Japanese. Yes, the Japanese. If you listen to these two tracks, they kind of sound a little bit like Timbaland. But also check out the 50 Cent/ JT song. Sounds like nintendo ey?

  1. Sample from a Final Fantasy game for Nintendo

2. Sample from a Donkey Kong game for Nintendo
